Getting Help With Special Needs
We believe that patients and their families deserve clear and thorough communication about their health care, so we offer a variety of interpretation services for patients:
- If your English vocabulary is limited
- If you are hearing impaired
(Tools for the hearing impaired are available, including amplified telephone handsets, teletypewriter, and closed caption decoders.)
- If you speak sign language
- If your primary language is Spanish or another foreign
language
(We can accommodate foreign language needs through our contract with Cyracom, a telephonic interpreter service, that provides services for more than 140 languages and dialects.)
Please let us know in advance about your language or hearing needs. Contact any one of the following to discuss your needs:
- Your admission representative
- Your nurse or doctor
- Our Social Work Department at 585-275-2851
- Interpreter Service at 585-275-4778 or 585-275-7998 (Spanish).
Our services include sign language interpreter services and Spanish interpreter services.
