Gladys Velarde, M.D.

Dr. Velarde is the Director of the Women’s Heart Program at the Strong Heart and Vascular Center. She is an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Dr. Velarde received her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and fellowships in cardiology at Boston University and Mt. Sinai Hospitals. She is board certified in cardiovascular disease.

Hanna Mieszczanska, M.D.

Dr. Mieszczanska is an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. She received her medical degree from Warsaw University School of Medicine. Dr. Mieszczanska completed her residency at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Winthrop Hospital at Stony Brook. She is board certified in cardiovascular disease.

Susan Hume, R.N., N.P.

Susan Hume is a clinical associate at the University of Rochester School of Nursing. She received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in nursing from University of Rochester School of Nursing. Her specialty is acute care and she has worked in cardiology for over 15 years.
