Drop-In Child Care Service

For those times when one child has an appointment at the 6th Floor Pediatric Ambulatory Treatment Center, and you are unable to arrange childcare for your other child(ren), our Child Life Program provides Drop-In Child Care service. This service is exclusively for the brothers and sisters of Pediatric patients and the children of Women's Health patients who are here for an appointment. The playroom is staffed by a Child Life Assistant and volunteers, and has capacity for up to 10 children with a staff of two. The service is provided for children who are in good health (no colds, fevers, or other illnesses), age 18 months to 10 years. The service is free, is provided on a first come, first served basis, and there is a three-hour limit.

When dropping off your child, parents must show proof of appointment and sign a consent form.

At times, the program may close for lunch or when staff is out ill.
