Conditions We Treat

Developmental Disabilities are conditions that can affect the physical, emotional, mental and/or social development of a child. Some developmental disabilities are an inherent part of a condition diagnosed at birth. Other developmental disabilities may be caused by illness or injury. During well-child visits to your child's physician, the doctor will assess and monitor your child's progress. If your child is not meeting the milestones appropriate for his/her age, the doctor may perform or prescribe further tests to determine if your child has a developmental disability.
