Procedures - Random Urine Collection Instructions

Orthostatic proteinuria work-up consists of four separate urine samples collected for two consecutive nights and mornings.

To collect urine samples:

• Collect a urine sample before bed, go directly to bed, and then collect another urine sample first thing in the morning
• Label sample with name, date and time collected
• Collect urine samples for two consecutive nights and mornings
• Take all samples to the lab for analysis
• Samples will be measured for protein:creatinine ratios
