The National Kidney Foundation of Upstate New York is dedicated to sponsoring research for the prevention and treatment of kidney disease and educating the public about the causes of kidney disease. The Division of Pediatric Nephrology at Golisano Children's Hospital is the Upstate New York chapter of the NKF and participates in its Medical Advisory Board.

The National Kidney Foundation, a major voluntary health organization, seeks to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation.

American Society of Nephrology is a non-profit professional organization committed to the study and practice of nephrology, and promoting research within nephrology.

National Institute of Diabetes & Digestive & Kidney Diseases, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, this organization offers comprehensive information about diagnoses, available treatments, and research.

The American Society of Pediatric Nephrology is a professional organization dedicated to the study and treatment of pediatric nephrological conditions.
