Research

Dr. Burgin’s research activities focus on the care of patients early in the course of stroke. This includes using acute vascular imaging in ischemic stroke and hemorrhage (particularly ultrasound), the development of novel techniques to reduce the damage from cerebral ischemia, and cervical artery dissection.

Academic Activity

Dr. Burgin likes working closely with the residents and students, and is director of the Cerebrovascular Fellowship program. He provides numerous teaching conferences throughout the year.
