Message From the Director

Steven E. Feldon, M.D. Director of the Eye Institute

The establishment of the University of Rochester Eye Institute has set Rochester on a course to become a major center for eye care, ophthalmic research, education, and technology transfer. At the Eye Institute, we are redesigning our infrastructure and adding faculty with additional areas of sub-specialty expertise so that we can provide a comprehensive array of services.

Think of us as your source for superior eye care. Our experienced sub-specialists offer second opinions and consultative services. Highly specialized diagnostic services, advanced surgical interventions, and management of the most complex eye conditions and diseases are among the advantages we bring to Upstate New York. We are dedicated to providing state-of-the-art treatment modalities—you may find some novel therapeutics available here first.
