Tobacco–Who Needs It?

Smoking, which is now sometimes called “Tobacco Dependence Disease,” is an enormously difficult habit to break at any age. But it can be done. And it should be done. Tobacco use is the number one controllable cause of disease and early death.

Special Help for Smokers Who Are 50-Plus

If you’re a smoker, 50 years of age or older, living in New York State, you’re in luck. Project 50+ is a new stop-smoking program for smokers who’ve tried to quit and failed. And it’s FREE. (This program is funded by The National Cancer Institute.)

You don't need to travel to participate in Project 50+. All contact is by mail and/or telephone. Call Project 50+ headquarters at 585-273-3871 or toll free at 1-888-222-3993 to find out more about the program and to enroll today.
