Urology Clinical Trials

Past Urology Trials in Prostate Cancer

  • A research study to see whether a drug, Casodex™, is safe and effective in treating men with early prostate cancer status post prostatectomy

  • A research study to examine a new blood test that may be able to separate the subjects who have prostate cancer from those who do not. Human carcinoma antigen (HCA) is a protein whose abundance in the blood increases in most cancers. In normal prostate tissue it is present at low levels, but in prostate cancers it is present at high levels. This study hopes to improve the measurement of HCA in human blood. The result could be a simpler, less expensive and less unpleasant way to diagnose prostate cancer.
